Safeguarding
We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for every learner.

A Safer Learning Environment by Design
The Learning Nest is a safer learning environment as all our learning clips are pre-recorded, and there is no live teaching or direct student communication with the portal.
Understanding the hazards and benefits of using the internet, and developing the skills to assess and manage online risks are key areas of learning within The Learning Nest Curriculum.
To help us maintain high standards of safety and wellbeing, we ask all parents and carers to review the following guidelines with their child before they begin using The Learning Nest.
Safety Guidelines for Parents and Carers
1. Supervision & Support
- Ensure your child accesses lessons and learning materials in a supervised environment at home.
- Encourage regular check‑ins about their learning, wellbeing, and any concerns they may have.
2. Safe Use of Technology
- Make sure your child uses a secure device with up‑to‑date antivirus protection and parental controls where appropriate.
- It is your responsibility to ensure your child accesses the internet safely to login to The Learning Nest Portal.
3. Attendance & Engagement
- Please ensure your child accesses The Learning Nest Portal consistently and completes learning opportunities to the best of their ability.
Qualified, Checked and Committed
All Learning Nest Teachers are UK qualified and hold current enhanced DBS checks.
