Accessing The Learning Nest Portal
The Learning Nest is accessed via a rolling monthly subscription. Learning opportunities are available in themed weekly blocks, which are released every Monday 7am (GMT). This affords flexibility for learners and their unique home environments, across the week.
Our activities and learning opportunities are thematic, interesting, fun and relevant to the lives of young people. Each week, learners can expect to find a varied menu of activities, including pre-recorded teaching clips, quizzes, key questions, ideas for discussion and practical tasks.
Learning at the Right Level
We recognise that each young person brings with them their own prior learning journey and will have varying levels of confidence and challenge. Learners can therefore select differentiated levels of challenge depending on their own abilities — not the arbitrary value of their age.
Most activities in The Learning Nest are open‑ended, giving learners the freedom to shape their work in ways that suit their interests, abilities and creativity. Some tasks are labelled as Starters to help learners build confidence, while others are Stretchers designed to deepen thinking and offer extra challenge. Every learner has access to all activities, meaning they can consolidate their understanding or push themselves further whenever they feel ready. This flexible approach supports independence, personal choice and meaningful learning for every young person.
